Animal Breeder (Swine)

**Job Opportunity in the United States with TN Visa!** The Swine Breeder will be responsible for the following activities: * Performing daily breeding activities based on sound animal husbandry, agricultural, and veterinary practices to ensure high-quality swine production. * Conducting ultrasounds at 28 and 56 days post-breeding, accurately recording and reporting gestation status. * Ensuring synchronization of both young and adult sows to meet weekly breeding targets. * Managing semen quantity and quality. * Collecting and maintaining accurate breeding records in NEDAP’s Electronic Sow Feeding (ESF) system. * Conducting routine animal observations to identify various estrous cycle stages, including estrus, to facilitate high-quality breeding. * Selecting appropriate animals and specimens for breeding based on animal knowledge and experience, as well as desired traits and characteristics. * Monitoring animal health to promote welfare and enhance reproductive capacity, in accordance with agricultural and farm protocols. * Administering appropriate vaccines, medications, and injections as required per protocol to promote animal welfare and improve breeding outcomes. * Promptly treating sick animals as needed. * Ensuring adequate supply of feed, water, ventilation, and bedding for boars across the entire farm. * Conducting routine animal observations to detect any illness or injury requiring treatment. * Maintaining a healthy and clean environment for sows under care and ensuring sufficient supply of feed and medications. * Ensuring proper cleaning and maintenance of animal feeding stations (ESF), doors, feeders, and their surrounding areas. * Supervising and managing the integration of new animals into dynamic and static pens. * Placing all orders (supplies, vaccines, semen, fuel, bedding, etc.). **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree, professional license, and professional registration in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, Agronomy, or related fields. * Valid passport or ability to obtain one as soon as possible. * Farm and/or animal care experience is preferred but not mandatory. * Must feel comfortable working with large animals (up to 500 kg). * Must be able to tolerate demanding work conditions, including dust, heat, and cold.
