The position requires a committed professional with a genuine interest in quality, willing to collaborate in the continuous improvement of our processes. **Responsibilities** --------------------- As a Quality Analyst / Auditor, your main responsibilities will include: * **Quality monitoring:** You will continuously monitor our processes, ensuring that all products meet quality and food safety standards. You will be on the front line of defense against non-conforming products, guaranteeing consumer safety and satisfaction. * **Sampling:** You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing product samples at different stages of production. This includes both meat materials and dry products and packaging, using appropriate sampling techniques to ensure representativeness of analyses. * **Food handling:** You will learn about best practices in food handling and their importance for food safety. It is essential that you have a proactive approach toward food safety and can communicate these practices to other team members. * **Laboratory instrument use:** You will become familiar with various instruments used in product quality evaluation. You will learn to operate and calibrate equipment, as well as interpret results critical for decision-making. * **Knowledge of GMPs and SQF:** You will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards. This includes receiving meat, dry, and packaging materials, as well as performing general tasks and manual handling of meat and dry products. * **Sensory analyses and inspections:** You will participate in conducting sensory analyses and periodic quality inspections, documenting any findings and recommending corrective actions when necessary. * **Quality audits:** You will collaborate in planning and executing quality audits, reviewing processes and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. **Material Receiving:** * Inspect incoming meat, dry, and packaging materials upon arrival, ensuring they meet required specifications (storage conditions, temperature, labeling, expiration dates, etc.). * Verify quantity and quality of delivered products by comparing them with purchase orders and delivery notes. * Perform quality control audits on incoming products and document inspection results. **Quality Control:** * Conduct sensory and physical analyses of meat and dry products (odor, color, texture, etc.) to detect any anomalies or quality deviations. * Identify and report any irregularities or non-conformities, generating corresponding reports and collaborating with the purchasing and supplier departments to resolve incidents. **Manual Handling Management:** * Manually load and unload meat and dry products, following safety and handling regulations to prevent product damage. * Ensure materials are properly placed in storage areas, following the company's ordering and classification protocols. **Record and Report Management:** * Maintain accurate records of inspections performed, as well as implemented corrective actions. * Prepare and deliver detailed quality reports to the management department for follow-up and decision-making. **Collaboration with Other Departments:** * Work closely with Logistics, Production, and Purchasing departments to ensure received materials are appropriate and handled according to company standards. * Participate in quality meetings and assist in implementing process improvements. **Requirements** -------------- We are looking for candidates who meet the following requirements: * **Experience:** At least 1 year of experience in a role related to quality analysis or auditing in the food industry. * **Education:** University degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field. * **Technical knowledge:** Familiarity with GMPs, SQF, and quality and safety standards is desirable. * **Analytical skills:** Ability to perform sensory analyses and evaluate results, as well as critical skills to identify areas for improvement. * **Teamwork:** Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other departments within the company. * **Communication:** Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely document and report findings. **Why join Grupo Bafar?** ---------------------------------- At Grupo Bafar, we value our employees and promote an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
