JOB SUMMARY: Provide support and advice regarding industrial safety and hygiene requirements, conduct risk analysis, and manage documentation for local and federal authorities related to permit processing. Fulfill roles and responsibilities related to environmental protection. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:* Support the Safety and Environment Supervisor in implementing, training, and monitoring the Safety and Environmental program. * Plan, implement, and coordinate safety programs through the application of engineering and technological principles to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions. * Assist in the implementation and management of the safety management program. * Inspect the facility, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure legal compliance. * Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, monitoring hazardous conditions, and the use of safety equipment. * Review plans and specifications for new machinery and equipment installations or construction to verify compliance with all safety requirements. * Recommend safety modifications in processes to reduce employee exposure to chemical, physical, and biological hazards in the workplace. * Conduct or oversee monitoring and assessment of air quality, noise, temperature, and/or radiation levels to verify compliance with current regulations. * Participate in investigation teams to ensure timely and efficient incident reviews and make appropriate corrective action recommendations. * Demonstrate and apply knowledge of all regulatory requirements, company policies, procedures, and standards. * Prepare and submit reports and any other company-assigned requirements to local, state, and federal authorities, as well as ensure proper recordkeeping. EDUCATION: Engineering, Technical Degree, or equivalent experience EXPERIENCE: 2 years of experience in a similar position. (Preferred) KNOWLEDGE:* Occasional involvement in manufacturing and warehouse activities * 50% English proficiency (Preferred) * Basic computer software skills.
