SENIOR SITE RESIDENT ENGINEER

**Job Description** ------------------------- Administer, organize, supervise, and ensure that electrical and mechanical installation works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable technical standards. **Main Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Supervise and coordinate the execution of electromechanical works at the construction site. * Ensure that works are performed safely and efficiently. * Verify that materials and equipment used are of good quality and comply with technical specifications. * Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that works are carried out according to established schedules and budgets. * Identify and report any issues or deviations in the execution of works. * Ensure that records and documentation of the works are accurate and complete. * Collaborate with the project team to ensure that electromechanical works are integrated with other systems and components of the project. * Develop work schedules for monitoring each activity and required resources. * Properly manage operational personnel regarding productivity, discipline, and payroll, complying with * legal-labor regulations. * Supervise and ensure that operational personnel have their safety equipment. * Review, together with Project Management or Superintendent and various operational areas, how services will be performed during non-standard hours, on Sundays, or holidays. * Supervise the proper operation and condition of all equipment together with maintenance personnel, and manage preventive and corrective maintenance. * Monitor safety and order in the work area. * Supervise variations in raw material inventories, providing appropriate clarifications. * Handle complaints according to the complaint procedure requirements. * Promote teamwork by conducting periodic meetings to identify needs and opportunities for improvement. * Provide necessary support to other departments to resolve issues related to product quality or service delivery. * Monitor raw material consumption and work times to determine production costs. * Evaluate, supervise, and manage external suppliers providing raw materials and services. * Manage the development and compliance of training programs for assigned personnel. * Supervise the paving process, using performance indicators. * Provide comprehensive customer service (complaints, advice, etc.). * Follow up on the joint safety and hygiene committee. * Act as an internal driver for new projects. * Support other positions whenever qualified and trained. * Report unsafe conditions in their work area and equipment. * Properly implement the emergency response plan. * Correctly use full personal protective equipment (PPE). **Position Challenges** -------------------- * Supervise and coordinate the execution of electromechanical works on site. * Approve or reject work performed by contractors and subcontractors. * Issue instructions and work orders to contractors and subcontractors. * Conduct inspections and tests of electromechanical works. * Identify and report any problems or deviations in work execution. * Coordinate with other departments and work teams to ensure electromechanical works are integrated with other systems and components of the project. * Approve or reject materials and equipment used in electromechanical works. * Suspend operation of equipment that does not meet established operating standards. * Suspend services from a raw material supplier and/or service provider that does not meet the company's established quality standards. * Jointly with the Human Resources department, address labor issues arising in paving projects. **Required Skills and Knowledge** ------------------------------------------ Education: Civil Engineering Degree Desired Experience: * Electromechanical systems * Standards and regulations * Materials and equipment * AutoCAD * Microsoft Project Desired Knowledge: * Windows and computer software packages. * Applicable standards and regulations for the project. * Planning and scheduling * Communication and leadership * Risk management * AutoCAD * SolidWorks * Microsoft Project or Primavera Critical Competencies: * Problem analysis and resolution. * Design. * Effective communication * Proactive * Ethics and professionalism **Relationships** -------------- I.
