Project overview: This role is part of the team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the Orders Platform, including order lifecycle, shopping basket, and fulfillment flows. The platform must reflect the real state of orders with high accuracy and resilience. Position overview: We are looking for a Semi\-Senior Backend Engineer (Java) with solid experience building backend services and APIs. The role requires autonomy within defined boundaries, strong collaboration with product and UX, and attention to reliability and data consistency. * Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend services using software engineering best practices. * Build and optimize REST and/or GraphQL APIs with clear contracts. * Implement business logic supporting data ingestion and processing. * Write clean, testable, and maintainable code aligned with team standards. * Design and execute unit, integration, and contract tests. * Participate in peer code reviews and Agile ceremonies. * Work with infrastructure teams on CI/CD pipelines and deployments. * Deploy and operate services in cloud environments considering scalability and security. * Monitor production systems and support incident resolution. * Document solutions and share knowledge with the team. * Requirements: Experience developing backend services with Java. * Knowledge of API design (REST/GraphQL). * Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and basic performance tuning. * Familiarity with asynchronous or event\-driven concepts (queues, pub/sub). * Basic understanding of resilience patterns (retries, error handling, idempotency). * Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows. * Experience working in Agile environments. * Fluency in Spanish. * Nice to have: Product mindset and value orientation. * Autonomy aligned with team goals. * Analytical and data\-driven thinking. * Collaboration, proactivity, and clear communication. * Good spoken English for documentation and collaboration.
