We are seeking a **Process Safety and Optimization Expert for Puebla.** The primary objective of this position is to design and lead the implementation of Process Safety and Asset Optimization programs for the Puebla site, considering the specific needs of each department, based on technical expertise, BASF guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include: * Supervising and identifying process safety risk assessment needs, and implementing required actions together with area leaders to minimize potential safety risks. * Managing and coordinating Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) across different areas to develop and implement process safety and optimization concepts, aligning efforts with North America’s Process Safety teams and those established by the business unit. * Conducting process safety/mechanical integrity gap analyses to evaluate existing programs at the Puebla site and ensure compliance with legal and corporate process safety requirements. * Coordinating the development of Explosion Protection Documents (EPDs) — including internal and external zone classification — and performing engineering evaluations to implement mitigation measures. * Conducting internal audits to verify compliance with process safety regulations, including NOM-028-STPS, BASF’s Responsible Care Questionnaire Code 5, and other applicable regulations. * Coordinating and ensuring necessary technical reviews with each department to fulfill capital project safety reviews. * Participating, as required, in Ecology, Hygiene, and Safety (EHS) activities, coordinating and following up on actions assigned to the EHS Department, as well as participating in emergency response activities that may arise at the site. * Coordinating process simulation modeling and optimization, as well as participating in required risk analyses. * Leading multidisciplinary teams during incident investigations to identify root causes and establish corrective actions to prevent recurrence at the site, as well as managing Management of Change (MOC) and tracking implementation of resulting action items. * Coordinating and fulfilling the requirements of the Integrated Responsibility Management System (SARI), as established by ANIQ for Process Safety. ***If you have:*** *A degree in Chemical or Industrial Engineering, at least 5 years of experience in process safety and risk analysis, knowledge of production, EHS, safety standards, and advanced English proficiency*, ***this vacancy is for you!*** Create your own chemistry: What we offer you ...
