Apply for our open position: Health & Safety Inspector. **ONE-YEAR CONTRACT****Objective:** Responsible for inspecting and supervising on-site safety measures established by the contractor for carrying out work at the project construction site, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company standards. **Responsibilities:** * Initiatives/areas requiring or deriving from the Integrated Management System. * Conduct task hazard analyses (e.g., JSA); * Identify and manage changes or modifications impacting Health and Safety; * Develop operation, maintenance, emergency response, and safety procedures that identify, consider, and control operational hazards; * Ensure preventive and corrective actions, as well as improvement plans, are completed timely and properly; * Establish effective tools such as work permits, periodic field inspections, effective audits, and operational discipline, among others; * Notify and record incidents and accidents, and generate proactive and reactive statistics and metrics related to Health and Safety; * Conduct self-assessment processes (e.g., walkthroughs, audits, element reviews, etc.) to measure Health and Safety performance monthly and/or quarterly; * Support certification processes and scheduled internal audits within the organization during the project duration; * Understand project engineering and the contractor's contractual obligations to enforce compliance; * Collaborate with the contractor to resolve issues arising during construction activities; * Review progress reports submitted by the contractor; * Maintain a daily activity log documenting all relevant events, especially phase starts and completions, as well as resource quantities used; * Submit a daily report to the immediate supervisor; * Prepare or assist in preparing reports or information requests required by the immediate supervisor; * Know and implement the Integrated Management System in applicable job processes; * Review construction procedures; * Perform administrative tasks inherent to the position. **Skills:** * Effective communication skills * Analytical, evaluative, and synthetic abilities * Adherence to procedures * Interpersonal skills * Results-oriented * Decision-making * Leadership * Teamwork * Problem-solving * Personnel management **Requirements:** * Completed or partially completed degree in any of the following fields: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical-Electrical Engineering, Industrial Safety and Hygiene Engineering, etc. (Degree preferred) * 3+ years of experience in health and safety areas **Apply now** and become part of the great **Sempra Infrastructure** team!
