




UNIT PRICE ANALYST Responsible for developing and evaluating the costs of the components that make up a construction project, determining unit prices to create accurate and competitive budgets. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, creating concept catalogs, researching market prices (materials, labor, machinery), calculating direct and indirect costs, and validating project profitability and financing, using specialized software such as Neodata or OPUS. Main Functions Unit Price Analysis (UPA): Break down the components of a work unit (materials, labor, equipment) to calculate its individual and detailed cost. Concept Catalogs: Develop and analyze concept catalogs that describe the specific activities that comprise a construction project. Quantification: Determine the exact quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for each construction item. Market Research: Conduct market studies to obtain the most current prices for supplies, subcontractors, and machinery. Cost Calculation: Calculate direct costs (materials, labor, machinery) and indirect costs (overhead, head office expenses), and apply project profit margin and financing. Project Interpretation: Analyze and interpret architectural and engineering drawings to identify all project elements. Validation: Verify the accuracy of costs and ensure the economic feasibility of the project proposal. Requirements and Skills Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in estimating software such as Neodata and OPUS. Computer Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
