POSITION OBJECTIVE Provide support to the Project Coordinator in security management and coordination tasks, ensuring smooth relations with local/national authorities and contributing to context analysis and monitoring in accordance with MSF protocols, standards, and procedures, to guarantee smooth project implementation. Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, identify and expand the network of stakeholders and support the maintenance of strategic partnerships and institutional agreements, ensuring required support for families of disappeared persons as outlined in project objectives. The project will operate in Iguala, Acapulco, and Chilpancingo, requiring mobility among these locations. RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS * Administer and maintain up-to-date MSF standard tools for context analysis and networking (WER, contact list, Who’s Who, actor mapping). * Organize and participate in rapid health assessments and/or response to critical events when necessary. * Serve as the Advocacy Focal Point for the project, ensuring implementation of the mission’s advocacy plan and follow-up on testimonies produced by the project team. * Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator (PC) and the Mission’s Humanitarian Affairs Manager, develop a comprehensive and contextually coherent advocacy strategy to guide and inform MSF operations according to population humanitarian needs. * Support project coordination in managing security and analyzing risks associated with MSF activities, ensuring adherence to movement validation procedures and negotiation of access where relevant (e.g., mobile clinics or exploratory missions). Assist the PC in ensuring full staff compliance with security norms and protocols, and promote a proactive culture of information sharing and collaboration with project coordination. * Advise the coordination team on monitoring, preparation for, and response to emergencies or critical events. * Maintain relationships and hold in-person meetings with key project stakeholders (Ministry of Health, IMSS Bienestar, Municipal Governments, Armed Groups, Community Leaders, Search Collectives, etc.). * Prepare and compile weekly, monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual project reports. * Participate in the development and updating of annual planning documents and project cycle monitoring documents. * Ensure follow-up on relevant administrative documents, agreements, national protocols, and commitments made with governmental counterparts and/or NGOs. * Upon request by the PC, represent MSF within the scope of the project (local authorities, media, governmental and non-governmental bodies, etc.) and negotiate collaboration agreements.
