**Job Description:** A monitor is responsible for observing activities through one or more monitors. These displays transmit real-time video feeds as well as previously recorded footage, enabling surveillance and detection of any irregular activity—whether involving customer transportation units or operational personnel within those units. Upon observing abnormal or suspicious behavior by any unit, the monitor must track its movements, activate response protocols, and, if necessary, notify authorities. **Job Objective:** To supervise and control, in real time, the operations and activities of customer transportation units, ensuring the safety of customer assets (drivers, vehicles, and cargo), while maximizing process efficiency. **Responsibilities and Functions:** * • Operate the PLSAT platform. * • Inspect the location status and route of transportation units and validate against previous shift reports. * • Submit monitoring records via the platform and designated chat channels according to assigned procedures, adhering to required formats and timelines. * • Report incidents per the client’s technical specifications. * • View fleet maps to determine whether full coverage exists or whether units are deviating from routes, in motion, or exhibiting abnormal status. * • Establish communication with drivers to track customer units. * • Remain vigilant for audible and visual alerts on the PLSAT platform to identify anomalies. * • Report GPS device failures to Customer Service Executives, or in their absence, to the Monitoring Center Department Head. * • Verify that the GPS engine cutoff function on units is operational, after obtaining prior authorization from the client. * • Report incidents to the Monitoring Center Department’s Shift Supervisor to ensure appropriate support is provided. * • Extract images from the PLSAT platform as evidence for reports, using screen capture and/or video recording software. * • Record and store all information generated during the monitoring shift for subsequent incident or event analysis. * • Activate emergency protocols upon occurrence of an event or incident. * • Log all incidents in the digital logbook. * • Deactivate alert protocols once the incident has concluded or upon instruction from the Command Center Coordinator. * • Conduct a final shift sweep to generate and email the report to the Operations Manager. **Job Requirements:** Education: High school diploma; preferably a bachelor’s degree in Criminalistics or Logistics. Experience: 1–2 years as a monitor. **Skills and Competencies:** ***Technical Skills:*** Computer operation, Microsoft Office suite proficiency, email management, WhatsApp usage, mobile devices, monitoring or GPS platforms, CCTV systems, microphones and cameras, web browsers, basic office equipment. ***Soft Skills:*** 1\. Observational Skills Carefully observe each monitor to promptly detect anomalies and pay special attention to any suspicious activity. 2\. Communication Skills When reporting an incident, the monitor must follow a protocol specifying the facts clearly and in detail: location of the incident, background information, individuals involved, and identifying details. 3\. Sound Judgment Each type of event has its own protocol; it is essential that the monitor possess sound judgment to correctly identify the nature of the incident and take appropriate action. 4\. Immediate Response Capability A monitor must react swiftly in emergency situations. Protocols may prescribe different responses depending on the type of alarm; therefore, thorough knowledge of correct procedures enables the monitor to remain prepared, stay calm, and act diligently. 5\. Sustained Alertness Monitoring work can become monotonous. Maintaining alertness over extended periods is crucial to avoid missing incidents. Thus, the monitor must maintain focus on surveillance duties despite potential environmental distractions. 6\. Honesty The monitor must be honest, ethical, and trustworthy. Gaining employer confidence requires punctual attendance, accurate reporting of events as they occurred, strict adherence to rules, and proactive behavior. 7\.
