We are looking for a talented **Metrology Technician** **(First shift)** **Responsibilities** * Perform basic product and component testing using various measurement methods and following established procedures (manual or automated). * Program, operate, and perform basic maintenance on measurement and test equipment (M\&TE), including **CMM machines** and **3D scanners** (Romer, HandyScan, MetraScan). * Interpret technical drawings with knowledge of **basic GD\&T** (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). * Perform basic programming in **PolyWorks** for scanning and dimensional analysis. * Provide technical support for issues escalated to incoming inspection on the assembly line and/or component validations requiring the use of metrology equipment or creation of new programs needed for component inspection release. * Use manual measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify dimensional specifications. * Assist in selecting and applying appropriate measurement methods to meet quality requirements and applicable standards (ISO 17025, ISO 9001, IATF 16949\). * Participate in uncertainty studies, metrological assurance programs, and laboratory intercomparisons. * Execute and document dimensional inspection plans. * Support maintenance of the laboratory's quality management system and continuous improvement activities related to data quality. * Manage basic procurement of lab consumables and services. * Follow housekeeping guidelines under the **5S** methodology. **Required Experience** * Previous experience in metrology, quality control, or dimensional testing, with intermediate knowledge gained through field experience or technical training. * Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially **Excel** for data handling and reporting. * Practical experience with **CMM equipment**, **3D scanning software**, and **manual measurement tools**. * Availability to **rotate work shifts** according to the laboratory’s operational needs.
