We are committed to quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across our supply chain operations. **Position Overview:** The Buyer will manage procurement activities for **New Product Introduction (NPI) and MRO** materials, supporting production goals and ensuring supply continuity. This role requires strategic thinking, strong supplier management, and the ability to optimize cost, quality, and lead times in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. **Key Responsibilities:** * Manage purchasing for **NPI projects and MRO materials**, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance. * Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to meet company standards and project requirements. * Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and value-added solutions. * Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to align procurement with operational needs. * Monitor inventory levels, lead times, and procurement KPIs to ensure continuous supply. * Analyze spend, identify opportunities for consolidation, and recommend improvements. * Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and global trade regulations. **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in **Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field**. * 2–3 years of experience in **purchasing for NPI, MRO, or indirect materials** in a manufacturing environment. * Strong negotiation and supplier management skills. * Knowledge of sourcing processes, cost analysis, and procurement tools. * **Advanced English** is required for communication with global suppliers and teams. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. **Preferred Skills:** * Experience with **ERP systems** (SAP, JD Edwards, or similar). * Familiarity with **Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies**. * Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and global environment. **Why Join Nidec Amec:** * Be part of a **global company** leading innovation in electric motor technology. * Opportunities for **professional growth and career development**. * Collaborative and inclusive work environment focused on safety and excellence. **Equal Opportunity Employer Statement:** **Nidec Amec** is a global company and an equal opportunity employer.
