




Be the point of contact with Product Engineering, Design, Launches, and new programs for any change or introduction of new products in production areas. * Drive process improvements through reduction of variation by applying the DMAIC methodology – Six Sigma. * Development of specifications for new equipment. * Audits of product BOMs and routings. * Validation and release of new equipment and/or processes. * Preparation of statistical process reports (capability studies, hypothesis testing, DOE, GR\&R). * Comply with responsibilities arising from GM quality systems (BIQ), Ford (Q1\), or other customer requirements. * Support quality and production areas in day-to-day activities to ensure optimal plant operation and achievement of their metrics. * Ensure customer requirements are defined and met throughout the product process. * Track current list of poka yokes and create poka yokes for new processes. * Support quality in direct customer interaction to address quality issues. * Actively participate in identification and segregation of scrap, as well as reduction of scrap using Six Sigma tools. * Actively participate in Continuous Improvement activities involving Plant Systems and processes. * Lead the updating of PF documentation and PFMEAs. * Ensure all potential failure modes are properly analyzed and documented in the PFMEA. * Keep management informed of status of customer issues and ratings (Score Cards). * Ensure quality of new processes/products using APQP tools. * Actively participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning PPAP. * Implement and document inspection criteria and develop boards with updated physical boundary samples. * Participate in daily OEE, scrap, and rapid response meetings for customer complaints, regular quarantine area, and production meetings. * Participate in daily rapid response meetings for customer complaints, regular quarantine area, shipping, and production as required. * Make team decisions regarding disposition of inventory in quarantine, non-conforming, or suspect areas. * Support training and onboarding of new personnel. * Support training programs for development of technical skills and knowledge of assigned personnel. * Identify training needs of subordinate personnel. * Understand environmental aspects and impacts and participate in the environmental management system for continuous improvement.
