Coach team members and share expertise in software development ### **Description** Our Senior Software Developer in Juarez, Mexico, helps to design, build, and maintain Align’s global manufacturing software systems.### **Key Responsibilities** * Analyze enterprise business context (trends and business strategy) to guide solution decisions and long\-term strategies for the enterprise. * Seek out novel uses of existing and new technologies to help improve our customers’ journeys. * Design and develop reliable, scalable and performant MES application and reporting solutions using Rockwell FTPC and other emerging technologies as needed. * Support MES integrations using Rockwell EIG and other event\-driven approaches. * Find opportunities for system and process improvement and share your ideas with the team. * Troubleshoot complex multi\-tiered and highly integrated software systems and perform root\-cause analysis. * Ensure that solution design and analysis work (particularly as specific solutions are created or upgraded in projects) is documented and stored in a common place. * Maintains knowledge and demonstrates mastery of the technical specialism at the highest level and is fluent at articulating best practices. * Effectively communicate with end\-users, SMEs and other cross\-functional team members on solutions. * Coach other team members and share your experience and knowledge in all things related to manufacturing software development. * Celebrate in your successes and those of your team members. ### **Skills, Knowledge \& Expertise** * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. * Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. * 5\+ years of hands\-on software development experience utilizing at least one strong typed programming language * Familiarity with multi\-tiered and MVP software architectures. * Familiarity with .Net technologies. * Familiarity with MSSQL and SSRS technologies. * Strong OO Design/Development skills. * Experience with synchronous and asynchronous MES integrations using message brokers (Desired). * Experience with global product labelling needs in a Medical Device company (Desired). * Experience with Rockwell FTPC Modular Framework or Vaadin framework (Desired). * COTS MES package like Rockwell FactoryTalk Production Centre (FTPC), GE Proficy, Camstar, Apriso Flexnet, Werum or other custom packages experience (Desired). * Knowledge about shop floor/manufacturing processes (Desired). * RESTful API and Web Services development (Desired). * Experience in working with the Medical Device industry (Desired). * Performance, scalability and usability mindset (Desired). * Strong Core Java (Desired) * SDLC and DevOps familiarity (Desired).
