**Job Description** The Trade Compliance Analyst executes and supervises customs and foreign trade operations across different plants in Mexico. Must ensure the correct application of laws and regulations related to the Customs Law, Foreign Trade Law, IMMEX Decree, VAT Certification, and other company programs and certifications. **Processes** * Ensure compliance of all import/export operations, including foreign and virtual operations, through accurate and timely documentation. * Manage and coordinate customs operations in close collaboration with customs brokers. * Validate, prepare, and control required documentation for customs processes. * Maintain data integrity within systems and procedures of Trade Compliance. * Communicate customs clearance requirements (data, documents, photos, etc.) to internal teams. * Validate and analyze the proper application of Maquiladora Rules, IMMEX, VAT Certification, Origin Inspection, RO, OEA, and CTPAT standards during customs operations. * Upload and maintain updated information and data in ICS Annex 24. * Execute the pre-validation process for assigned operations. * Identify potential risks in customs operations and implement mitigation strategies. * Coordinate with the Supply Chain team on shipment tracking and priorities, ensuring alignment with plant value stream maps. * Support the control and monitoring of fixed assets within the plant. * Validate Certificates of Origin and ensure proper application of Free Trade Agreement (FTA) rules. **Finance** * Validate and coordinate the payment process for all customs broker invoices using corporate systems and tools. * Track and report key performance indicators, including storage costs and total amounts per customs broker. * Validate customs broker account statements and coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure payments comply with company policies. * Report provisions for customs operations for monthly closing. * Provide Finance department with customs entry contribution reports. **Training and Coaching** * Support employee development by transferring knowledge and best practices regarding new procedures, system updates, customs operations, foreign trade programs, and certifications at the plant level. * Promote continuous learning and awareness of regulatory changes by encouraging proactive knowledge sharing within the Trade Compliance area and related functions. **Standardization** * Provide input and feedback to support the development and continuous improvement of standardized Trade Compliance processes across ContiTech Mexico locations, including import, export, shipment, and goods receipt activities. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent application of best practices and regulatory requirements in all relevant operations. * Assist in documenting and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain alignment with current customs regulations and corporate policies.
