




**Job Profile: Grain Warehouse Operator** **1\. Position Purpose** Ensure proper reception, weighing, storage, preservation, inventory management, and dispatch of grains (corn, sorghum, beans, etc.), guaranteeing their **quality, traceability, and security**, as well as the proper operation and cleanliness of the collection and warehouse areas. **3\. Main ResponsibilitiesReception and Weighing** * Receive producers and transporters at the scale. * Verify that vehicles arrive clean and suitable for unloading. * Record entry and exit weights on the scale. * Ensure each lot has its **tracking number, producer's name, origin, moisture content, and quality**. **Quality and Product Handling** * Perform quality sampling: moisture, impurities, damaged grain, hectoliter weight. * Report deviations or suspicions of contaminated grain or pests. * Supervise unloading process (conveyor belt, hopper, or manual). **Storage** * Determine the appropriate location for each lot (silo, cell, warehouse). * Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, shovels, conveyor belts, etc. * Monitor proper grain distribution to prevent moisture or compaction. **Inventory and Document Control** * Maintain daily records of receipts, shipments, and stock levels. * Submit daily/weekly inventory reports. * Maintain physical and digital files of tickets, scale records, analyses, and internal movements. **Preservation and Cleaning** * Monitor for pests, leaks, moisture, or infrastructure damage. * Carry out fumigations or request support from the relevant department. * Keep warehouse, yards, pits, and equipment clean. **Grain Dispatch** * Coordinate loading of units for sale or transfer. * Verify that the loaded product matches the requested lot. * Record exit weight and corresponding documentation. **4\. Technical Skills** * Operation of truck scales. * Knowledge of grain quality standards. * Inventory management. * Use of forklifts and handling equipment. * Reading and interpreting tickets, logs, and reports. * Basic knowledge of fumigation and pest control. **5\. Soft Skills** * Customer service toward producers and transporters. * Organization and discipline. * Ability to work under pressure (harvest season). * Honesty and focus on product control. * Effective communication and teamwork. * Responsibility and punctuality. **6\. Job Requirements** * Education: Secondary school or high school diploma (preferred). * Experience: 1–2 years in warehouses, grain collection, or grain handling (desirable). * Physical ability: Capacity for light lifting and yard work. * Basic knowledge of warehouse tools and equipment. * Availability for flexible hours during peak seasons. **7\. Working Conditions** * Work both outdoors and inside the warehouse. * Exposure to dust and moderate noise. * Extended working hours during harvest season. **8\. Performance Indicators (KPIs)** * Inventory accuracy (variance \<1%). * Compliance with daily recordkeeping. * Zero incidents of grain loss or contamination. * Efficient loading and unloading times. * Orderliness and cleanliness of assigned areas.
