Water-Based Fire Protection Systems (PCI) Maintenance Technical Specialist

Reports to: Technical Operations Manager
1. Job Purpose
To expertly execute Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) activities for water-based fire protection systems—fire pumps, hydrants, sprinklers, and valves—at operational hotel facilities, ensuring reliable system performance, regulatory compliance (NFPA), and the safety of guests, staff, and assets, aligning performance with SICCOB Solutions’ core values of integrity, professionalism, and operational excellence.
2. Key Responsibilities
Specialized Technical Responsibilities:
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electric and diesel fire pumps per NFPA 20 and NFPA 25.
* Conduct weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual pumping system tests (automatic start-up, test runs, flow tests).
* Inspect, test, and maintain automatic sprinkler systems, verifying physical conditions, obstructions, corrosion, and proper installation.
* Perform maintenance on hydrants, fire cabinets, and hoses, ensuring pressure, flow rate, and accessibility.
* Inspect and operate OS&Y, butterfly, check, alarm, and isolation valves, validating supervision and signage.
* Identify non-compliant conditions and issue technical corrective recommendations.
* Support acceptance testing, insurance audits, and Civil Protection reviews.
* Interpret hydraulic drawings, riser diagrams, and pump room schematics.
Service and Collaboration Responsibilities:
* Coordinate maintenance activities with hotel operations and engineering personnel, minimizing impact on hotel operations.
* Prepare and deliver logbooks, technical ITM reports, and compliance evidence.
* Respond to scheduled services and technical emergencies related to PCI systems.
* Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, supervisors, and internal departments.
* Adhere to safety protocols in public areas, technical rooms, and critical hotel zones.
3. Requirements and Skills
Education and Experience:
* Technician or Engineer in Electromechanics, Industrial Mechanics, Industrial Maintenance, Hydraulic Installations, or related field.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in water-based fire protection systems maintenance.
* Demonstrable experience in hotels, resorts, hospitals, or operational buildings (highly desirable).
* Practical knowledge of NFPA 25, NFPA 20, and NFPA 13 standards.
Kitchen Fire Suppression System
Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) procedures.
* Knowledge of fire pump operation and components, including controllers.
* Proficiency with measurement instruments: pressure gauges, flow meters, multimeters.
* Ability to identify hydraulic, mechanical, and operational failures.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and regulatory reports.

4. Work Environment and Conditions

Estimated Monthly Gross Salary Range:
Monthly gross salary: $18,000 – $25,000 MXN
