For more information, visit **solera.com**. **The Role**: This position is for a **Lead SDET – Software Development Engineer in Test**, responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of test automation frameworks for our next-generation software platform (computer vision, machine learning, sensor fusion, coaching workflows, reporting, high-precision alert management engines, and high-precision vehicle event analytics engines). The selected candidate will provide technical leadership in automation as part of the Software QA team and be accountable for all aspects of the quality assurance process. The role requires strong hands-on experience testing application services in N\-Tier architecture and data platforms within an Agile development environment, as well as solid understanding of databases. **What You’ll Do** * Design, develop, document, and maintain tools, test cases, and automation designs for current and next-generation software platforms. * Collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, DevOps, and other technical teams in release planning and coordination. * Interpret functional requirements and designs to plan, develop, write, execute, and automate functional and data validation test plans. * Work with engineering and infrastructure teams on strategy and maintenance of TDD/CI/CD-based development and QA environments. * Provide feedback and influence design processes to build testable platforms, applications, and data models. * Embed quality, performance, and reliability from day one. * Drive effective technical execution and clear communication as a member of Agile Scrum teams. * Document and communicate module and automation framework functionalities, interfaces, performance criteria, test cases, and results to diverse audiences. * Estimate effort, plan, and execute tasks according to agreed scope and development milestones to meet project timelines. * Manage defects, including issue identification, investigation, analysis, and documentation. * Work closely with the development team on unit test reviews, issue diagnosis, resolution, and closure. * Lead or collaborate on data analysis to assess data health and consistency, or determine root causes of issues. * Lead the technical vision for the assigned product. * Train engineers on new tools, methodologies, and technologies. * Mentor engineers and foster their personal and professional growth. * Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and quality. * Propose technical solutions to problems and conduct POCs for new tools and applications. **What You’ll Bring** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or 8 years of technical experience as an SDET or in a similar role. * 6+ years of applied professional experience in object-oriented programming languages. * Knowledge and experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards and reviews, version control, build, and testing. * Experience developing and testing in **C\# or Java**. * Experience developing tests using **Appium and Selenium**. * Experience designing and testing mobile applications on **iOS and Android**. * Experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and scaling **test automation frameworks**, with emphasis on extensibility, scalability, maintainability, and high performance. * Strong experience in developing and implementing End\-to\-End test strategies. * Prior experience and understanding of **Agile** methodologies. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels. * Proactive problem\-solving and troubleshooting mindset. * Experience with **AI/ML**\-driven testing platforms and predictive analytics. * Experience integrating test automation into **CI/CD** processes (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Linux). * Experience with microservices architecture. * Backend testing experience (API testing). * Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
