Position Summary: Ensure the proper importation of products in compliance with technical, sanitary, and legal regulations to guarantee product availability and avoid penalties. Key Highlights: 1. Management of sanitary registrations and import permits before COFEPRIS. 2. Coordination of international supply chain and customs procedures. 3. Legislative monitoring and maintenance of technical and regulatory files. **Import Executive** Ensure the correct importation of products (freight) in compliance with all applicable technical, sanitary, and legal regulations (regulatory matters) to guarantee product availability and avoid penalties from authorities such as COFEPRIS and Customs. **1. Main Responsibilities (Regulatory Affairs and Imports)** **Regulatory Affairs:** * **Registrations and Permits:** Manage sanitary registrations, operating notices, and import permits (prior or automatic) before authorities (COFEPRIS and applicable agencies). * **NOM Compliance:** Ensure compliance with applicable Mexican Official Standards (NOMs) and international standards for medical devices and quality. * **Regulatory Updates:** Monitor changes in national and international legislation and their impact on company products. * **File Management:** Maintain updated databases, technical files, and regulatory dossiers. **Freight and Imports:** * **Import Logistics:** Coordinate the supply chain from international suppliers to the warehouse (shipments, customs brokers, transportation). * **VUCEM and Customs:** Submit and validate information in VUCEM (Single Window for Foreign Trade) and manage customs files. * **Customs Compliance:** Supervise tariff classification and correct payment of duties. **2. Academic Requirements and Experience** * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Chemical-Pharmaceutical fields (QFB, Pharmacy, Biotechnology), International Trade, International Business, or related disciplines. * **Experience:** 3–5 years in similar positions, preferably within industries involved in marketing medical devices. * **Technical Knowledge:** * National sanitary regulation (COFEPRIS). * Customs Law and Foreign Trade Law. * Proficiency with platforms: VUCEM, DIGIPRIS, CECI, IATA/IMDG. * **Languages:** Intermediate-to-advanced English (for reviewing technical documentation and liaising with foreign manufacturers). **3. Competencies and Skills** * **High sense of urgency** and organizational ability. * Technical and scientific analytical capability. * Proactivity in resolving customs-related issues. **4. Performance Indicators (KPIs)** * Average time for customs clearance of shipments. * Percentage of registrations/permits approved on first submission. * Number of regulatory/customs incidents or fines. * Compliance with NOMs regarding labeling. **5. Industry Sector** * Medical Devices. **Position Conditions** * Work Modality: On-site. * Schedule: Full-time. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. * Salary: Base $18,000 gross. * Location: Insurgentes Mixcoac, Mexico City.
