Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper operation of production machinery, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and supporting food safety. Key Responsibilities: 1. Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. 2. Perform general maintenance, installation, and repairs on systems. 3. Identify and resolve mechanical issues, supporting continuous improvement. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for: * Complying with safety standards and industry regulations at all times (Lockout/Tagout, Confined Spaces, Working at Heights, etc.) * Assisting in the installation of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, as well as performing repairs when necessary * Inspecting alarm systems (fire, protection) and scheduling repairs when required * Performing general maintenance tasks and other assigned duties (painting, welding, etc.) * Reviewing and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. * Installing or assisting with new production equipment. * Performing equipment service and maintenance tasks. * Verifying that all production machinery is in good working condition and taking action to maintain it. * Identifying and resolving mechanical problems and failures. * Using hand tools for maintenance (drill, polisher, etc.). * Conducting periodic maintenance routines. * Preparing, maintaining, and submitting detailed maintenance reports. * Following instructions specified in work orders. * Supporting spare parts inventory management (Tool Crib). * Performing building maintenance. * Proposing equipment and/or process improvements for evaluation and implementation. * Understanding and fulfilling their role in food safety and quality, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, and reporting any potential food quality or safety issues.
