Job Description We are seeking an **Optical Fiber Splicer Technician (Fiber Optic Splicer)** with experience in the construction, implementation, and maintenance of optical fiber networks. The person in this position will be responsible for performing splices, measurements, network maintenance, and incident response, ensuring service continuity and proper operation of telecommunications infrastructure. **Requirements** * Minimum education: **Completed secondary school**. * Minimum **2 years of experience in optical fiber networks**. * Experience in: * Optical fiber splicing * Use of **OTDR** * Handling of **Corning brand splice closures, model family 2178** * Installation and maintenance of optical fiber networks * Knowledge of **working at heights** and use of **PPE**. * Valid **driver's license**. * Availability **24/7 for emergency response**. **Responsibilities** * Perform **optical fiber splicing** and measurements using equipment such as **OTDR**. * Carry out activities related to **installation, construction, and maintenance of optical fiber networks**. * Respond to **emergent events**, such as optical fiber cuts. * Conduct **network inspection tours** to identify risks and implement corrections. * Execute **scheduled corrective maintenance** during maintenance windows. * Perform assembly and installation of **new optical fiber lines**. * Integrate **new customers into the network**. * Prepare **daily activity reports and network construction reports**. * Manage **inventory of materials, equipment, and tools**. * Prepare material requisitions required for field activities.
