Maintenance of hygiene and food safety standards **SENIOR RESIDENCE LOCATED IN LOMAS HIPODROMO, NAUCALPAN** **HIRING: COOK A** **Job Objective:** Cook A will support kitchen operations by preparing meals, complying with hygiene and safety regulations, and ensuring the quality and consistency of all dishes served. Will work closely with the Executive Chef to coordinate kitchen team activities. * **Prepare meals** following established menus and institutional recipes. * **Supervise support staff** in kitchen cleaning, setup, and organization. * **Adapt dishes to special diets** (diabetic, low-sodium, soft, pureed, allergen-free). * **Verify supplies and portion sizes**, ensuring freshness and efficient usage. * **Maintain a clean and safe work area**, complying with hygiene and biosafety standards. * **Assist with inventory control** and storage of supplies (FIFO: First In, First Out). * **Coordinate with the Head Waiter and Waitresses** to ensure proper meal delivery to the dining room. * **Report incidents** to the Chef (shortages, equipment failures, irregularities). * **Comply with sanitary protocols** (NOM-251, Distintivo H). * **Support practical training** of new or support staff. * **Academic Qualification:** Technical degree in gastronomy or related field. * **Minimum Experience:** 2 years as a cook in senior residences, hospitals, institutional cafeterias, or restaurants. * **Desirable:** Food handling certifications and Distintivo H/HACCP. **Work Schedule:** * Monday through Sunday * Saturday off * Rotating shifts * Must reside near the location — maximum one-hour commute * Base salary: $11,500 MXN monthly plus performance-based variable pay of $1,500 MXN monthly Employment Type: Full-time Salary: Starting from $13,000.00 MXN per month Benefits: * Maternity leave exceeding statutory requirements * Paternity leave exceeding statutory requirements * Sick leave * Flexible working hours * Option for indefinite-term contract * On-site cafeteria service * Complimentary uniforms * Additional vacation days or paid leave * Grocery vouchers Education: * Completed higher technical degree (Mandatory) Experience: * Cook: 5 years (Mandatory) Work Location: On-site employment
