Participates in hearing health campaigns and mobile health brigades. **Job Profile: Audiometrist** **Job Title:** Audiometrist **Reports To:** Operations Manager **Supervises:** N/A **Job Objective** To conduct hearing assessments for the served population to promptly identify hearing loss or related impairments, thereby contributing to improved living conditions and promoting holistic well-being—especially among communities facing socioeconomic challenges. **Primary Function** To administer audiometric tests according to established clinical protocols, ensuring result accuracy, humanitarian care, and appropriate referral of patients requiring specialized medical evaluation. **Main Responsibilities and Activities** * Administer audiometric tests in accordance with current clinical guidelines. * Prepare, calibrate, and verify proper functioning of audiometry equipment. * Explain the procedure to patients using a clear, human-centered approach. * Record and interpret results obtained from each assessment. * Identify auditory impairments. * Maintain patient records, controls, and service reports. * Safeguard clinical information in accordance with confidentiality standards. * Ensure basic maintenance of assigned equipment. * Participate in hearing health campaigns and mobile health brigades under the program. * Contribute to achieving program objectives focused on community well-being. **Job Requirements** **Academic Qualifications (Mandatory)** * Professional degree and license as an Audiometry Technician, Audiology Technician, or equivalent officially recognized program. * Additional courses, certifications, or specializations in audiometry (desirable). **Experience** * Minimum of 1 year administering audiometric tests in clinics, health brigades, or community programs. **Knowledge** * Techniques for pure-tone and speech audiometry. * Operation and calibration of audiometers. * Anatomy and physiology of the auditory system. * Biosafety standards and medical equipment handling protocols. * Serving vulnerable communities (desirable). **Skills** * Empathetic interpersonal skills and patient orientation. * Clear and effective communication. * Organizational ability and precision in clinical documentation. * Collaborative work within multidisciplinary teams. * Adaptability to community and field environments. **Institutional Competencies** * Humanitarian service and social orientation. * Professional ethics. * Responsibility and commitment. * Teamwork. * Quality of care delivered to the population. **Job Conditions** * Fieldwork conducted at Mobile Units or Care Centers. * Availability for travel according to operational routes. * Use of specialized equipment provided by the program.
