Cultivate strong customer and vendor relationships ### **Description** 1\. Develop and direct project operation team members to perform all assigned operational functions (Sales, Pricing, Ops) 2\. Ensure compliance with government regulations (TSA, US Customs, etc.). 3\. Develop and implement measures, standards, and operational processes to ensure high quality services for customers. Perform regular evaluations of results accomplished. 4\. Ensure the accuracy of data and conduct accurate review and closeout of files. 5\. Implement continuous improvement plans and actions to ensure steady progress is made in documentation, customer relations, rating, quoting, booking, tracking, and invoicing activities. 6\. Maintain courteous, prompt, and efficient customer relations. 7\. Help select, train, and develop qualified personnel. 8\. Prepare timely management information and reports as specified and requested. 9\. Ensure compliance with Hazardous Materials regulations. 10\. Ensure all vendors meet service standards and provide Noatum Logistics with the best possible price and service. Adhere to established credit policies. 11\. Develop and maintain successful relationships with local vendors (e.g., steamship line representatives, airlines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, local pickup and delivery companies, regional trucking companies, line haul providers). 12\. Treat proprietary information with the utmost confidentiality and maintain the security of computer systems. 13\. As a joint responsibility with the VP, Project Logistics, develop and maintain an office atmosphere conducive to continual growth of employees. ### **Minimum requirements** * College degree in related field or equivalent combination of experience and education. * 3 to 5 years operational experience in international transportation, preferably with an international freight forwarder. * Knowledge and skill in import/export operations, processes, and documentation requireements and preparation. * Knowledge of state, federal and international applicable laws and regulations (Federal Maritime Commission, Interstate Commerce Commission, U.S. Customs, environmental, import/export, maritime, human resources). * Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (written and verbal). * Effective organization and project management skills. * Demonstrated successful negotiation and customer satisfaction skills. * Ability to effectively resolve customer complaints and problems and restore or maintain business. * Competency in PC, spreadsheets, and database applications (including Microsoft Office Suite). * Ability to work effectively in a business environment characterized by complexity, ambiguity, and rapid change, with minimal supervision.
