Job Summary: Fire protection systems specialist ensuring operational readiness, integrity, and response of equipment in accordance with NFPA standards and Mexican regulations. Key Highlights: 1. Ensure operational readiness and immediate response of fire protection systems. 2. Guarantee equipment compliance with NFPA standards and official Mexican regulations. 3. Perform maintenance, testing, and regulatory compliance for fire protection systems. **1\. Job Objective** Ensure full operational readiness, integrity, and immediate response of fire protection systems (both preventive and reactive). The specialist must guarantee that detection, alarm, and suppression equipment complies with international standards (NFPA) and official Mexican regulations to safeguard life and organizational assets. **2\. Key Responsibilities** * **Hydrant and Sprinkler Network Maintenance:** Monitor pipeline pressure, conduct flow tests, inspect sprinkler heads, and assess physical condition of cabinets. * **Detection and Alarm Systems:** Functional testing of smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual pull stations, notification appliances (strobe lights/sirens), and control panels. * **Fire Pump Equipment Maintenance:** Inspection and startup of primary pumps (diesel/electric) and jockey pumps. * **Special Suppression Systems:** Inspection of clean agent systems (FM\-200, CO2, Ecaro\-25\) in data rooms or critical areas. * **Regulatory Compliance:** Preparation of technical reports and completion of logbooks per Civil Protection and insurance requirements. **3\. Education and Experience Requirements** * **Education:** Technical degree in Electromechanics, Industrial Safety, or Fire Protection. * **Experience:** Minimum 3–5 years installing and maintaining fire protection systems in industrial facilities, hospitals, or corporate buildings. **4\. Required Certifications (Mandatory)** Candidates must hold **three certificates or credentials** validating technical specialization and regulatory knowledge: * **NFPA Standards Certification (e.g., NFPA 25 or NFPA 72\):** Certificate verifying competence in inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems (NFPA 25\) or national code alarm systems (NFPA 72\). * **Manufacturer Certification for Detection Panels (e.g., Notifier, Honeywell, Simplex, or Fire\-Lite):** Technical diploma certifying capability to program, perform bypasses, and diagnose faults in intelligent fire detection panels. * **Fire Pump Systems Certification (e.g., Peerless Pump, Armstrong, or Patterson):** Technical credential recognizing expertise in operation, alignment, and maintenance of fire pump control panels and motors. **5\. Technical and Cross-functional Competencies** * **Knowledge of National Regulations:** Proficiency in **NOM\-002\-STPS** (Safety Conditions—Fire Prevention and Protection). * **Blueprint Interpretation:** Ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams (P\&ID) and architectural fire detection drawings. * **Sense of Urgency:** Capacity to respond promptly to accidental activations or critical system failures. * **Tool Handling:** Use of smoke testers, multimeters, and Pitot tube flow meters. **6\.
