**Business Development Manager – Affiliate \& Influencer Partnerships** *Remote (Any part of the Globe, collaborating with US partners)* **Reports to:** Director of Marketing / CEO **About Smickees** Smickees is a creative, fast\-growing lifestyle and learning brand dedicated to bringing joy, imagination, and smart design into everyday life. We believe in *community\-driven growth* — working hand\-in\-hand with creators, influencers, and affiliate partners who share our passion for storytelling and playful design. **Role Overview** The **Business Development Manager (Affiliate \& Influencer Partnerships)** will lead Smickees’ creator and partnership growth strategy — from sourcing and pitching to closing and nurturing long\-term relationships. You’ll identify and recruit TikTok creators, influencer partners, affiliate websites, and media platforms that can help Smickees amplify its brand presence and drive measurable sales. This role requires a strong mix of **sales mindset, partnership strategy, and influencer marketing knowledge** — perfect for someone who knows how to turn conversations into collaborations and collaborations into conversions. **Key Responsibilities** **1\. Sourcing \& Deal Flow Management** ● Build and manage a pipeline of potential affiliates, influencers, and brand partners. ● Research, qualify, and pitch creators — especially TikTok and mom creators — who align with Smickees’ brand and audience. ● Develop relationships with affiliate websites, listicles, and ranking articles for Smickees’ hero products. ● Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and execution of new partnerships. **2\. Closing Deals \& Partnership Growth** ● Lead negotiations and close high\-impact partnership deals that drive awareness and sales. ● Manage influencer content and royalty collaborations for new product launches (Collaborative NPD). ● Close brand ambassador and long\-term content deals with high\-performing partners. ● Develop and maintain a structured CRM/tracker for partnership pipelines and performance. **3\. Affiliate \& Media Partnerships** ● Build relationships with affiliate journalists, writers, and decision\-makers to secure coverage and product placements. ● Plan and manage seasonal product pushes through affiliate and media networks. ● Work closely with the marketing team to align media and influencer efforts with promotional campaigns. **4\. Strategic Collaboration \& Reporting** ● Collaborate with the Creative and Marketing teams on campaign briefs and content calendars. ● Track ROI and performance of influencer and affiliate campaigns. ● Provide data\-driven recommendations for optimization and scaling. ● Identify partnership trends and new growth opportunities in influencer and affiliate marketing. **Qualifications** ● 3–5 years of experience in **Business Development, Influencer Partnerships, or Affiliate Marketing**, ideally in e\-commerce or consumer brands. ● Strong experience in **deal pitching and closing** — from first outreach to signing contracts. ● Familiarity with influencer/affiliate sourcing tools and outreach strategies. ● Excellent communication and negotiation skills, confident in handling international (US\-based) partners. ● Highly organized, goal\-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple deals simultaneously. ● Bonus: Experience collaborating with **TikTok creators**, especially in parenting, lifestyle, or learning spaces. **Tools You’ll Likely Use** ● **Influencer Sourcing:** JoinBrands, Collabstr, Aspire.io, Upfluence, Modash, Heepsy, Afluencer ● **Affiliate Tracking:** Impact.com, Refersion, PartnerStack, Everflow ● **CRM \& Outreach:** HubSpot, Apollo.io, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lemlist, Notion or ClickUp trackers ● **Analytics:** TikTok Creator Marketplace, Social Blade, Google Analytics **Who You Are** ● A confident **relationship builder and deal\-closer**. ● Comfortable working with **creators and moms** who represent our audience on TikTok and social media. ● Creative in finding new ways to drive growth through partnerships. ● Motivated by measurable results — partnerships that translate into product love and sales. **Success Metrics** ● Number of new influencer and affiliate partnerships activated monthly ● Growth in conversions and sales from affiliate/influencer campaigns ● ROI and engagement rates per campaign ● Long\-term retention of key partners **Why Smickees** You’ll join a playful, fast\-moving team that celebrates creativity, community, and the joy of bringing imaginative products to families worldwide.
