Collaborating on automation projects. **Purpose of the Position** Operate conventional lathes to manufacture high-precision metal parts, ensuring quality, tolerance compliance, and process stability in machining operations supporting automation projects. **Main Responsibilities** * Operate conventional lathe to perform turning, drilling, and finishing operations. * Interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications. * Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds based on material and operation. * Perform basic machine adjustments (offsets, minor corrections). * Verify dimensions using measuring instruments. * Ensure parts meet tolerance requirements and quality standards. * Maintain order and cleanliness in the work area. * Record production output and report deviations, failures, or needs. * Comply with safety regulations and internal procedures. * Prepare tools when required. **Job Requirements** * Technical secondary education or technical degree (machinery and tools, industrial mechanics, or related field) **and\* at least 1 year of relevant experience;** or\*, without a technical degree, minimum 2 years of verifiable experience. * Experience as a lathe operator or in precision machining. * Knowledge of mechanical drawing interpretation. * Proficiency in using measuring instruments. * Basic knowledge of lathe maintenance. * Basic knowledge of materials (steel, aluminum, plastics). **Required Technical Knowledge** * Conventional lathe operation. * Mechanical drawing interpretation. * Tool selection and basic parameter setting. * Metrology (caliper, micrometer, comparator). * Basic machine adjustments. * Technical metallic and plastic materials. **Key Competencies** · **Proactivity** Identifies necessary adjustments and reports deviations promptly. · **Organization** Keeps workstation, tools, and materials orderly. · **Attention to Detail** Verifies dimensions accurately and ensures tolerance compliance. · **Communication** Reports failures, risks, and needs clearly and promptly. · **Teamwork** Collaborates with operators, supervision, and quality teams to achieve goals. · **Responsibility** Consistently meets deadlines, standards, and procedures. · **Operational Discipline** Adheres to safety regulations and good manufacturing practices.
