Main Responsibilities
* **Team Supervision**: Directs and coordinates kitchen staff, assigns tasks, and monitors performance according to established standards.
* **Quality Control**: Ensures dishes are prepared according to the establishment’s standards and recipes regarding flavor, presentation, and hygiene.
* **Supply Management**: Controls inventory of raw materials, places orders with suppliers, and manages the food storage area.
* **Menu Planning**: Collaborates in designing and updating menus based on seasonality, ingredient availability, costs, and special events.
* **Cost Control**: Monitors efficient use of ingredients to prevent waste and maintain profitability through the FIFO system.
* **Sanitary Compliance**: Ensures the kitchen operates in accordance with food hygiene and safety regulations.
* **Training**: Trains and mentors new or developing staff.
**Required Profile**
* Education in gastronomy, culinary arts, or related field (technical or bachelor’s degree).
* Minimum 2–4 years of kitchen experience, including supervisory experience.
* Knowledge of culinary techniques, portion control, recipe costing, and personnel management.
* Leadership skills, ability to work under pressure, and strong organizational capacity.
* Familiarity with food safety standards.
* Ability to train and direct staff.
