Collaborate with cross-functional teams bringing a "Design to Value" mindset **Your Job**As a **Sourcing Engineer**, you will play a critical role in supporting new product development and sustaining products by applying category strategies, identifying and contracting suppliers, and managing BOM line\-item costs throughout the product lifecycle. You will act as the single point of contact for sourcing activities on assigned projects and lead cost\-reduction initiatives that directly impact business performance. **Our Team** You will be part of the **Global Procurement team**, working closely with Category Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product \& Project Management teams to ensure successful product launches and long\-term supplier performance. **What You Will Do** * Apply global category strategies (metals, plastics, electronics, etc.) to new and sustaining products * Lead sourcing activities for BOM line items across product development projects * Conduct should\-cost analyses and make\-versus\-buy evaluations to support sourcing decisions * Drive continuous cost\-reduction initiatives and value engineering efforts * Support supplier selection, onboarding, and development, including low\-cost country sourcing * Ensure sourcing milestones and procurement deliverables are met on schedule for product launches * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to bring a "Design to Value" mindset to product design * Monitor supplier performance and participate in supplier audits as needed * Identify sourcing and procurement innovation trends to improve competitiveness **Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)** * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field * Experience in supply chain or procurement within a manufacturing environment * Strong analytical, problem\-solving, and organizational skills * Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and geographies * Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills **What Will Put You Ahead** * 1\-2 years of experience in direct spend sourcing, particularly in mechanical categories * Experience negotiating contracts and developing supplier agreements * Knowledge of global suppliers and international markets * Experience with SAP and Ariba * Fluency in business English **Who We Are** At Koch, employees are empowered to do what they do best to make life better.
