**GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION**

The Planner is responsible for coordinating and managing production schedules, material availability, and work order priorities to support on\-time delivery and efficient manufacturing operations. This role works closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering, Warehouse, and Customer Service to ensure customer requirements and production goals are achieved.
**DUTIES \& RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Create, maintain, and update production schedules based on customer demand and manufacturing capacity.
* Review sales orders and production requirements to establish job priorities and due dates.
* Monitor work orders and production progress to ensure on\-time completion and shipment.
* Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure raw materials and components are available to support production schedules.
* Assist in Material Requirement Planning (MRP) activities and system maintenance.
* Release and track manufacturing jobs through the production process.
* Communicate schedule changes, shortages, delays, and priority updates to appropriate departments.
* Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Warehouse teams to resolve scheduling or material issues.
* Monitor inventory levels and help maintain appropriate stock quantities.
* Support cycle count and inventory accuracy initiatives as needed.
* Review and maintain accurate planning data in ERP/MRP systems.
* Assist with expediting critical jobs and materials to meet customer delivery requirements.
* Participate in production meetings and provide schedule status updates.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning and production efficiency.
* Maintain company quality standards and compliance with internal procedures.
* Adhere to all company safety policies and regulations.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
**EDUCATION, TRAINING \& EXPERIENCE**

* Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
* Minimum 2–4 years of production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing experience preferred.
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment required.
* Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
* Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
* Ability to analyze production data and prioritize workload effectively.
* Strong communication and problem\-solving skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
