REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field * 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in food industry companies * Certification as an internal or lead auditor for ISO 14001 **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Supervise and ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations, and standards (federal, state, and municipal). * Maintain updated documentation and environmental permits required by authorities. * Prepare and coordinate internal and external environmental audits. * Attend environmental authority inspections and follow up on requirements. * Monitor environmental performance at the plant or facilities (emissions, discharges, waste, noise, etc.). * Ensure proper management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including final disposal in compliance with regulations. * Coordinate environmental impact prevention and mitigation plans. * Implement resource conservation programs (water, energy, fuels) and reduce carbon footprint. * Promote sustainability strategies and projects aligned with corporate objectives. * Identify improvement opportunities and propose environmental innovation projects. * Develop and deliver training on environmental regulations and sustainability practices to employees. * Foster a culture of environmental respect and social responsibility within the organization. * Ensure effective communication of environmental policies and sustainability achievements.
