The candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and supervising all ground-based load-handling maneuvers, ensuring compliance with industrial safety standards and operational precision. Responsibilities \- Selection, inspection, and preparation of lifting equipment (slings, shackles, chains, rigging hardware). \- Verification of load weight, center of gravity, and load capacity according to manufacturer’s load charts. \- Directing crane operators using standardized hand signals and/or radio communication. \- Demarcation and securing of the work area. \- Controlling access and egress of unauthorized personnel during lifting operations. \- Monitoring environmental conditions (wind, terrain, visibility). \- Safe positioning, rigging, and unrigging of loads. \- Participation in pre-operational crane inspections. \- Immediate reporting of hazards, anomalies, or unsafe conditions. \- Strict adherence to lifting safety protocols. Requirements \- Minimum 3–4 years’ experience as a Rigger in civil construction. \- Knowledge of interpreting load charts. \- Proper handling of lifting equipment. \- Experience operating telescopic, hydraulic, or Titan-type cranes. \- Knowledge of standard lifting signal systems. \- Willingness to work on-site. Minimum education: Completed secondary school. Desired certifications: \- Valid DC3 certification for lifting and rigging operations. \- Safety courses for heavy machinery operations. \- Training certificates in signaling and rigging equipment. Requirements * Required academic level: Secondary school / technical secondary school * Academic status: Graduated * Required field of study (related): Civil Engineering * Experience: 3–4 years as a Rigger * Knowledge(s) and tool(s): + Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction fieldwork, including participation in at least one complete overseas project.
