Identify tax and accounting risks and propose timely solutions At **Grupo Cantera**, we are looking for a **General Accountant** to lead the company's accounting and tax operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and the quality of financial information for decision-making. **Main Responsibilities** Execute and supervise the complete monthly accounting close Prepare and file tax returns accurately and on time Control and analyze accounting records, ensuring proper classification Manage compliance with authorities (SAT, IMSS, INFONAVIT) Coordinate with internal departments to obtain financial information Identify tax and accounting risks and propose timely solutions Participate in internal and external audits **Requirements** Academic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting (graduated with professional license) Mandatory: Valid Certified Public Accountant certification (IMCP) Desirable: Specialization or diploma in taxation, auditing, or finance **Experience** Minimum 5 years of general accounting experience within a company (not an accounting firm) Proven experience in monthly closings and tax compliance Desirable experience in companies managing inventories Technical Knowledge Proficiency in accounting ERP systems (CONTPAQi, Aspel, SAP or similar) Willingness to work primarily on Odoo platform Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic macros) Proficiency in SAT portal, electronic invoicing, and tax mailbox SUA / IDSE (IMSS and INFONAVIT) Knowledge of NIF / IFRS **Key Competencies** High attention to detail Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong communication skills when interacting with non-financial departments Effective follow-up and strong sense of urgency Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability Integrity and confidentiality in handling information **Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM **We Offer:** Salary: $22,000\.00 to $25,000\.00 net per month, depending on experience (paid biweekly) Statutory benefits from the first day of employment Interested candidates should apply through this channel, attaching an updated CV to schedule interviews.
