#### **About this Position** The Product Development (PD) Chemist will be responsible for the design, formulation, testing, and optimization of adhesives for industrial, automotive, construction, packaging, and other sectors. The candidate must develop innovative products that meet technical, regulatory, and sustainability requirements, as well as provide technical support to other areas of the organization. #### **What you'll do** * Formulate new solvent-based, water-based, hot\-melt, epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic or other technology adhesives according to market needs. * Conduct laboratory tests to evaluate properties such as adhesion, viscosity, cure time, thermal resistance, etc. * Optimize existing formulations to improve performance, reduce costs, or comply with new regulations. * Scale up processes from laboratory to pilot plant and full production. * Maintain accurate technical documentation: data sheets, formulation procedures, test reports. * Research new raw materials, technologies, and trends in the adhesive market. * Interact with suppliers, customers, and other departments (sales, quality, production) to ensure the technical\-commercial success of the product. * Ensure compliance with local and international chemical safety, environmental, and quality regulations. #### **What makes you a good fit** * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (Master’s preferred). * Minimum of 3 years of experience in adhesive or coating formulation. * Knowledge of rheology, polymer chemistry, material compatibility, and analytical methods. * Experience with laboratory equipment such as viscometers, spectrophotometers, ovens, environmental chambers, etc. * Strong analytical skills, results orientation, and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. * Intermediate to advanced technical English (reading scientific papers, communicating with global customers/suppliers). #### **Some perks of joining Henkel** * Flexible work scheme with flexible hours, hybrid work model * Diverse national and international growth opportunities * Globally wellbeing standards with health and preventive care programs * Gender\-neutral parental leave for a minimum of 8 weeks * Employee Share Plan with voluntary investment and Henkel matching shares * Flexible Benefits * Savings fund * Friday early finish At Henkel, we come from a broad range of backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences.
