**Summary:** Manage new customer programs, development projects, and other types of internal projects to ensure projects and programs are completed in accordance with well\-defined goals (performance, timing, quality, and cost). **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Manage all aspects of new customer programs and other assigned projects/programs to deliver a quality product on time and on budget. * Manage cross\-functional teams (typically including Sales, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and other functional group representatives as required) on assigned programs to achieve program goals. Responsible for setting and meeting program targets * Promote a disciplined approach to program management using Shiloh’s phased gate review process and work to continually improve that process. * Monitor the performance of project/program teams through the use of timing plans (key dates), open issues, and design/process/cost changes. * Ensure that production process development, tooling, and capital equipment installation activities for customer programs are being managed by the respective functional or facility project launch team. * Ensure the completion of APQP deliverables. * Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to create team accountability and act as liaison with Customers and Suppliers on assigned programs as needed. **Supervisory Responsibilities** This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. **Education and/or Experience** * Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably in Engineering) and min 4 years related business experience. * Automotive experience preferably with an automotive supplier with strong program management methodologies. **Skills and Abilities** * Knowledge and experience in Project Management methodologies. * Ability to plan and manage complex projects crossing over many departmental lines. * Solid problem\-solving skills. Able to effectively use problem\-solving tools such as Cause/Effect Diagrams, Is\-Is Not, 5 Why, etc. * Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing Methodologies. * Effectively lead and influence a cross\-functional team to successfully achieve goals and objectives. * Strong communication skills, written and oral, to all levels of the organization (internal, customers, and suppliers). * Working knowledge of computers and software, such as MS Office/Project and IQS, with the capability to thoroughly learn new applications. * Ability to read/interpret product drawings. * Goal oriented and results\-based thinking with excellent attention to detail. * Ability to speak fluently in Spanish and English **Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations** PMP is a plus **Additional Competencies** * Multiple disciplines related to program launches: Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and/or Purchasing * Familiarity with industrial facility design, construction and maintenance practices * Experience with mechanical presses, welding, assembly, coil processing equipment, aluminum die casting, and associated material handling equipment and automation * Strong mechanical aptitude coupled with a hands on approach (when required) * Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD\&T) **Physical Demands** * Frequently required to sit and work using computers and is often required to stand/walk within manufacturing facilities * Required to communicate (hear and speak) with co\-workers; in person and by telephone * May need to lift small parts/tools in the process of moving/transporting them * Required frequent to travel to manufacturing facilities and/or customers, which includes driving and/or flying **Work Environment** The noise level in the work environment varies: when in the office, the noise is usually low to moderate. While on the manufacturing floor, the noise is usually loud. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to sharp steel edges, moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
