




Position Objective: Maintain plant workforce health, environment, and safety by monitoring and evaluating health, environmental, and safety conditions; ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and government standards; and maintain the Plant Cluster's Health, Environment, and Safety Programs. Requirements Education: Industrial Engineering, Chemical or related field Conversational English Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Coordinator, extensive knowledge of Mexican regulations for safety, health, and environment, STPS, Health Regulations, SEMARNAT, certification as an internal auditor for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. Specific Knowledge: Knowledge of Mexican standards from STPS, SSA, and SEMARNAT, industry standards, LPGIR, General Law for Comprehensive Waste Management Responsibilities:* Administer effective occupational health, safety, environmental, and ergonomics programs, including health service functions and maintenance of related policies and procedures according to the Operating System and ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements. * Support implementation of risk reduction projects and initiatives, health and/or environmental improvements, incorporating company best practices into programs under EHS leadership direction. Implement and/or follow up on improvements related to SPIs. Educate, motivate, and train production and line supervision personnel on good cleaning practices, safe work procedures, PPE, etc. * Assist in administering medical surveillance and biological monitoring programs in accordance with OSHA standards and company policies and procedures. * Administer personal protective equipment, workwear, and plant safety equipment programs according to company standards and operating budget. * Administer the respiratory protection program, including quantitative fit testing, respirator distribution, cleaning, and disinfection. Conduct air velocity audits on ventilation and extraction equipment. * Perform data analysis to identify risks and develop and implement effective plant-wide programs for identification, prevention, and control of risks and occupational injuries/diseases. * Work with the training coordinator to coordinate plant health and safety education and training programs. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local health, industrial hygiene, environmental, and safety regulations. * Maintain legal, governmental, and company environmental, health, medical, and safety records according to standards, including confidentiality. * Administer the plant hazard communication program, including maintaining SDS inventory in the online system: effective identification of all chemicals, chemical inventory, and related training and education programs. Work with manufacturing and support operations to ensure ongoing safety. This includes periodic auditing of LOTO (lockout/tagout) procedures. * Assist line management in developing risk assessments and safe operating procedures for tasks and incident investigations. * Develop and implement audit and observation programs to review and ensure compliance with applicable health, environmental, and safety standards.
