AWS Data Engineer – Senior (SR) **Focus:** System design, mentoring, cost optimization, and security. **Responsibilities:** * Lead the technical design of complex, highly available data solutions. * Optimize performance (tuning) of Spark/Glue jobs and Redshift queries for **cost reduction**. * Define coding standards, conduct code reviews, and mentor Junior/Mid-level engineers. * Implement security policies, encryption, and data governance (AWS Lake Formation). * Design "event-driven" architectures using Kinesis or MSK (Kafka). **Requirements:** * **Experience:** 5+ years in data, with at least 3 years of deep AWS expertise. * Advanced proficiency in **Spark**, memory optimization, and partitioning. * Advanced experience in **IaC** and deployment automation. * Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. * *(Optional)* Experience implementing decentralized data domains and federated governance in a **Data Mesh** architecture.
