




**Your Job**Phillips Medisize is seeking a **Tooling Engineer** to join our New Projects team. In this role, you will coordinate, direct, and lead all tooling\-related activities to ensure the best engineering outcomes across all programs and projects, while meeting both manufacturing and customer requirements. This includes interacting with customers, solving design challenges, and collaborating courteously, promptly, and cost\-effectively with other Phillips facilities and internal staff. This position is based at our plant in Mexico and may require travel and shift rotation as needed. **Our Team** Phillips Medisize, a Molex company, is a full\-service provider of innovation, development, and manufacturing solutions for the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, medical device, and specialized commercial industries. As part of the New Product Introduction (NPI) team, you will play a key role in bringing new products to market, ensuring that tooling design, manufacturing, and supplier management are executed to the highest standards. **What You Will Do** * Serve as a consultant to production/manufacturing teams on all tooling\-related matters * Coordinate the design and manufacturing of molds, ensuring compliance with quality standards, project timelines, and cost requirements * Support the cost team in developing cost estimates, tooling options, and design alternatives * Track tooling projects to ensure adherence to schedules and design/manufacturing standards * Communicate progress and changes to project engineers, program managers, and customer service representatives * Establish and maintain a competitive supplier base that meets company requirements * Ensure compliance with customer agreements, requirements, and quality standards * Identify, propose, and implement improvements in tooling and project management * Participate in environmental and safety programs, including risk reporting, emergency plans, and continuous improvement initiatives **Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)** * Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field * Minimum 2 years of experience in tooling design and construction within the molding industry * Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SolidWorks or other design software * Knowledge of the DFM (Design for Manufacturing) process for tooling, with the ability to evaluate designs * Experience with plastic injection molding processes * Advanced conversational English proficiency * Availability for full\-time work and travel as required * Strong understanding of customer agreements and quality standards * Handling of hazardous substances according to local regulations (e.g., NOM\-018\-STPS\-2015, NOM\-005\-STPS\-1998\) * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams **What Will Put You Ahead** * Familiarity with CNC, root cause analysis, and environmental standards (ISO 14001:2015\) * Knowledge of the PDCA (Plan\-Do\-Check\-Act) cycle and experience in KPI improvement and compliance At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
