Job Summary: RECAL is seeking a Construction Quality Inspector to ensure compliance with quality standards in construction processes, including inspection and verification of welds, materials, and assembly. Key Responsibilities: 1. Ensure compliance with construction quality standards. 2. Perform visual inspection of welds (VT) and non-destructive testing (NDT). 3. Prepare and maintain the project's quality dossier. **RECAL is seeking a Construction Quality Inspector in San Nicolás \- Monterrey, Nuevo León** --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- **Job Objective** Ensure compliance with quality standards in construction processes through inspection, verification, and control of welds, materials, and assembly, in accordance with applicable codes and project specifications. **Main Responsibilities** * Conduct on-site quality inspections per established procedures. * Perform visual inspection of welds (VT) and verify compliance with applicable standards. * Supervise and/or conduct non-destructive testing (NDT). * Verify proper execution of dimensional inspections on structures and piping. * Inspect structural bolting, including torque testing. * Review and validate correct installation and inspection of weld studs. * Prepare, compile, and maintain an up-to-date project quality dossier. * Interpret drawings and technical specifications to validate construction processes. * Document findings, non-conformities, and follow up on corrective actions. * Generate technical reports and photographic evidence of inspections performed. **Technical Knowledge** * Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) per **AWS** and **ASTM** standards. * Conventional ultrasonic testing (UT) and UT applied to piping. * Magnetic particle testing (MT) and liquid penetrant testing (PT). * Visual welding inspection (VT). * Dimensional inspection of structures and components. * Inspection of bolts and weld studs. * Solid knowledge of welding processes. * Ability to read and interpret structural and fabrication drawings. **Tools and Systems** * Proficiency in **Microsoft Office** (Excel, Word, Outlook). * Use of computer equipment and corporate email. * Preparation of reports and document control (dossier). **Academic Qualifications** * Technical or Engineering degree in: * + Metallurgy + Mechanical + Industrial + or related field **Experience** * Minimum **2 to 3 years** in on-site or industrial quality inspection. * Experience in steel structures (**desirable**). * Experience in welding inspection and non-destructive testing. **Competencies** * Attention to detail * Technical analysis * Fieldwork * Effective communication * Responsibility and adherence to standards * Document organization **Desired Education Level:** Bachelor’s degree \- certified **Desired Experience Level:** Mid-level **Departmental Function:** Construction **Industry:** Construction **Skills:** * Decision-making ability * Communication * Responsibility *This vacancy originates from the Talenteca.com job board:* *https://www.talenteca.com/anuncio?j\_id\=69ec038233000033003098d3\&source\=indeed*
