Summary: This role involves strategic global sourcing, vendor management, and complex contractual negotiations, focusing on cost-effectiveness and continuous improvement in supplier performance. Highlights: 1. Global sourcing of cost effective materials based on a TCO approach 2. Manages Approved Vendors List and drives supplier business reviews 3. Completes complex contractual negotiations and develops sourcing strategies General Responsibilities * Global sourcing of cost effective materials based on a TCO approach * Work closely with Engineering to influence technical design decisions, meet custom product requirements, and reach business objectives * Manages the Approved Vendors List (AVL) and drives regular supplier business review for continuous improvement in supplier performance such as cost, quality, supply/capacity, technology, service, environment and ethics * Maintains knowledge of market trends including rigorous analysis of market drivers, cost structures and technical improvements * Complete complex contractual negotiations of agreements and legal; including commercial terms and conditions * Develop commodity sourcing strategies, commodity and technology roadmaps * Proficient with analytical skills (i.e. cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier risk management and formal supplier selection) * Guide and mentor other Supply Chain team members across the organization * Participates in the development, communicates and ensures adherence to the strategic plan for the purchasing/ sourcing strategy of materials and services required by HPS * Participates in the Development of standard systems and tools for utilization at all HPS sites Key Activities * Sources and manages strategic/preferred commodities in a cost effective manner * Prepares and evaluates quotations based on price, quality and delivery attributes * Negotiates corporate contracts based on a TCO approach * Represents Department on assigned teams in a professional manner * Initiates, leads, plans, executes and completes assigned projects in a timely manner * Summarizes activities, results and commitments in an effective manner * Provides guidance and training to HPS personnel involved in materials activities * Auditing of plant processes to ensure adherence to corporate sourcing strategies * Participates in the development of tools/systems utilized by HPS * Supports Monthly review, reporting and resolution of Purchase Price Variance (PPV) * Supports Cost roll preparation, analysis and execution * Provides inputs into Strategic and Business planning activities
