**Position Description** We are seeking a Warehouse Coordinator responsible for ensuring the administration, control, safeguarding, and supply of raw materials, work-in-process items, and finished goods. This role is critical to ensuring timely availability for production, quality assurance, and logistics efficiency—while optimizing resources and complying with safety, quality, and operational excellence standards. **Key Responsibilities** **Operations and Control** * Coordinate the receipt, inspection, registration, and storage of materials and finished goods. * Supervise material picking for production according to work orders. * Ensure accurate execution of shipments and order preparation. * Manage physical and ERP-based inventories, ensuring accuracy and proper rotation (FIFO/FEFO). * Validate documentation for receipts, issuances, requisitions, transfers, and daily reports. **Personnel Management** * Supervise warehouse staff, forklift operators, packers, and other team members in the department. * Train staff on occupational safety, material handling, 5S methodology, and standard operating procedures. * Assign tasks, evaluate performance, and foster a positive working environment. **Continuous Improvement and Processes** * Implement 5S, visual management, and best practices in warehousing. * Participate in internal and external audits (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 45001, customer audits). * Propose improvements to reduce losses, damage, and operational cycle times. * Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to optimize material flow. **Safety and Compliance** * Ensure compliance with industrial safety regulations (NOM-006-STPS). * Supervise proper use of forklifts, pallet jacks, racking systems, and personal protective equipment (PPE). * Maintain records of equipment and workplace area inspections. **Technical Competencies** * ERP system proficiency (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, Microsip, or similar). * Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis). * Knowledge of inventory control and valuation methods. * Foundational understanding of logistics and supply chain management. **Soft Skills** * Operational leadership. * Organization and results orientation. * Decision-making under pressure. * Effective communication. * Analytical thinking. * Teamwork. **Academic Qualifications** * Technical degree in Logistics, Industrial Administration, or related field (minimum requirement). * Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration (preferred). * Certifications in inventory management, Lean, 5S, or material handling (an advantage). **Required Experience** * 2–4 years of experience in warehouses within manufacturing plants. * 2–5 years supervising personnel. * Demonstrable experience in cycle counting, FIFO/FEFO, shipping operations, and ERP systems. **Working Conditions** * On-site plant floor work (70%) and office work (30%). * Availability to rotate shifts as required by operations. * Ability to handle moderate physical loads and perform effectively in a high-paced operational environment.
