Ensures that appropriate technical and service manuals and blueprints are available, up-to-date, and used during preventive maintenance, repair, or replacement procedures. Also holds overall responsibility for supervising a shift or departmental operation. Provides advice and instructions to subordinates. Communicates information to managers, coworkers, subordinates, and other departments. Acts as a technical resource for the department and provides training to both existing and newly hired employees. The scope of the supervisor’s duties may vary depending on department size. Adheres to all company safety policies and procedures; reports maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries; and completes safety training and certifications. Ensures both uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintains confidentiality of property information; and protects company assets. Ensures compliance with quality expectations and standards. May reach above head height and below knee level, including bending at the waist, twisting the waist, pulling, and squatting. Visually inspects tools, equipment, or machinery. Moves, lifts, carries, pushes, pulls, and places objects weighing up to 50 pounds (22.5 kg) without assistance. Assists in moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing over 100 pounds (45 kg). Climbs up and down stairs, service ramps, or ladders. Grasps, turns, and manipulates objects of various sizes and weights. Stands, sits, or walks for extended periods of time. Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors. DESIRABLE SKILLS Education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Experience: 5 years of related work experience.
