




General Purpose of the Position: This healthcare professional focuses on prevention, management of medical emergencies, and promotion of healthy habits within the department store work environment. Responsibilities include coordinating responses to medical emergencies, managing cases of occupational illness and injury, and advising on preventive measures and workplace ergonomics. The role involves training staff in first aid and emergency response, as well as managing medical facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with national regulations and company policies. Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree and professional license in General Medicine. · 1–2 years of experience in primary care medicine. · 1–2 years of experience in Occupational Health (preferred). · Certifications in BLS/ACLS, PHTLS/ATLS (preferred). Responsibilities: · Primary care consultations, joint safety and hygiene inspections and recommendations, medical examinations for new hires and follow-ups, emergency response, generation of monthly statistics per store and department—including total number of employees attended, medications dispensed, medical certificates issued, health campaigns conducted, etc. · Supervise and implement occupational health and medical emergency practices. · Provide primary medical care and occupational health counseling to employees and contractors. · Manage occupational medical cases, including rehabilitation and safe return-to-work processes. · Collaborate with the Safety Department in emergency preparedness and response. · Conduct workplace health risk assessments. · Maintain medical equipment and supplies up-to-date and in optimal condition. · Actively participate in the development and execution of emergency plans. · Utilize electronic medical record systems for information management. · Manage employee medical records. · Ensure proper handling of biohazardous waste generated on-site. Knowledge: · Familiarity with occupational health regulations (NOM-STPS, SSA, IMSS), customer service orientation, and teamwork. · Ergonomics and occupational risk prevention. · Proficiency in IMSS forms. · Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
