Comply with hotel audit standards and cash-handling procedures (e.g., blind cash drop). Obtain assigned cash drawer and ensure accuracy of funds on hand, securing necessary change for expected transaction volume and safeguarding the cash drawer at all times. Reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, submit receipts, and secure the cash drawer. Transport the cash drawer to and from the assigned workstation. Set up and organize the cashier workstation with supplies, forms, and designated resource materials; maintain cleanliness of the workstation at all times. Complete opening duties, such as organizing supplies and required tools—including the cash drawer—and ensuring all equipment is fully operational. Comply with all company security and safety policies and procedures, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets. Greet and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards, anticipate their service needs and fulfill them, and thank guests with sincere appreciation. Communicate with others using clear and professional language and answer telephones using proper protocol. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team in achieving common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Enter and locate job-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
