Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen tools and equipment and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Prepare and paint surfaces; perform minor drywall and woodwork repairs; replace light bulbs and air conditioner filters; and thoroughly clean the painting or repair area. Test, diagnose malfunctions, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., unclogging toilets and drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, switches and outlets, and other guestroom items. Program televisions and perform general engineering-related maintenance and inventory tasks. Use lockout/tagout procedures before performing maintenance work. Repair indoor and outdoor landscaping and outdoor irrigation systems. Demonstrate basic computer operation skills, including entering air-handling system schedules and adjusting temperatures. Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Ensure both uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of property information; and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and fulfill guest service needs; assist guests with disabilities; and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support the team in achieving common goals; and listen to and appropriately respond to other employees’ concerns. Communicate with others using clear and professional language. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 50 pounds (4.5 kg) or less without assistance, as well as lift heavier weights or perform movement-intensive tasks without assistance. Climb stairs, service ramps, or ladders. Reach above head level and below knee level, including bending, twisting the waist, pulling, and stooping.
