Technical support to Operations, Finance, and customer teams. **Position:** Systems Architect / Senior Applications Engineer **Location:** On-site at NexGen Systems, Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico **Employment Type:** Full-time **Job Summary** We are seeking a hands\-on **Systems Architect / Senior Applications Engineer** to design, build, and support business applications used by our internal teams and customers. The role focuses on **web applications, integrations, databases, and system upgrades**, in close collaboration with Operations and Business teams. The role requires strong technical depth but is **practical and execution\-oriented**, not focused on documentation or bureaucracy. **Key Responsibilities Application Design and Development** * Design and develop **business web applications**, primarily using **.NET / C\#**. * Maintain and enhance existing applications based on business and operational needs. * Participate in solution design discussions and translate business requirements into functional systems. * Support **User Acceptance Testing (UAT)** and production deployments. **Integrations and EDI** * Lead and support **EDI and system integrations** with customers and partners. * Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure reliable and well\-documented integrations. * Resolve data exchange and integration incidents. **Databases and Backend Systems** * Design and maintain **SQL Server databases**. * Optimize database structures and queries for performance and reliability. * Support schema updates linked to application changes. **System and Server Support** * Provide support for applications running on **Windows / IIS environments**. * Collaborate with infrastructure teams on deployments, updates, and configuration issues. * Support automation and system improvements aligned with business objectives. **Operational and Business Support** * Provide technical support to **Operations, Finance, and customer\-facing teams**. * Support application updates and improvements related to **operations in Mexico**. * Support IT / IS leadership in special technical initiatives as needed. * Mentor and guide junior developers and engineers. **Required Skills and Experience** * 6 to 8\+ years of experience in **application development or systems engineering** * Strong experience with: * **C\#, .NET, ASP.NET (MVC or similar)** * **Web application development** * **SQL Server** * Experience with **system integrations** (EDI experience is a plus) * Comfort working directly with business users and operational teams * Strong problem\-solving and communication skills * Experience working in **distributed teams** (preferred) **Desired** * ERP system experience * Process automation and improvement experience * Experience supporting finance or operations systems * Exposure to responsive or mobile web applications **Competencies** * Technical depth with a practical mindset * Strong sense of ownership and accountability * Business\-oriented thinking * Collaboration and influence\-based leadership * Customer\- and operations\-focused approach **Work Environment** * On\-site work at NexGen Systems offices in Culiacán, Sinaloa * Standard office hours with flexibility during production launches or incidents * Occasional extended hours during critical system upgrades Salary: $10,000\.00 \- $30,000\.00 per month Work Location: On\-site employment
