We are looking for an organized Warehouse Associate with attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility to ensure optimal management of our inventory, especially meat products.** Position Purpose The Warehouse Associate is essential to the store's operation, responsible for the **receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of goods**, ensuring maintenance of the **cold chain** and proper product rotation to guarantee freshness and availability. Main Responsibilities and Functions * **Receiving and Verification of Goods:** * Receive products from suppliers, verifying that quantities, quality, and specifications (including temperatures for refrigerated/frozen products) match purchase orders. * Report any discrepancies, shortages, or damaged goods upon receipt. * **Storage and Organization:** * Store goods in an organized, secure, and efficient manner in warehouses, refrigeration, and freezer chambers. * Ensure **proper product rotation (FIFO - First In, First Out)**, prioritizing items with the shortest shelf life. * Monitor and record storage conditions, especially **temperature** in cold rooms. * **Inventory Control:** * Maintain physical and system inventory records by performing cycle counts and actively participating in general inventories. * Identify and promptly report products nearing expiration for appropriate handling. * **Dispatch and Fulfillment:** * Prepare and deliver requested goods to different store areas (butcher shop, sales floor, etc.) in a timely manner. * **Cleaning and Safety:** * Maintain cleanliness, order, and safety in warehouse areas, loading docks, and cold rooms, complying with hygiene and food safety regulations (handling perishable products). Requirements * **Experience:** Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience in warehouse, stockroom, or inventory assistant roles, preferably in the food industry, supermarkets, or handling perishable goods. * **Knowledge:** * Basic inventory system skills (desirable). * Knowledge of storage and rotation techniques (FIFO). * Desirable knowledge of forklift or electric pallet jack operation (not essential, but valued). * **Skills:** Organization, proactivity, attention to detail, ability to perform physical labor and work as part of a team. * **Availability:** Full-time schedule with availability to work weekends and holidays.
