**Company dedicated to transportation services is seeking:** **CARGO TRANSPORT BASE MANAGER** **Education:** * Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferable) **Experience:** * Minimum of 5 YEARS, mandatory **Skills:** * Attention to detail and commitment to quality. * Ability to detect deviations and propose corrective actions. * Handling of technical reports, logs, and document control. * Effective communication with site personnel, contractors, and suppliers. **Specific Knowledge:** * Experience in freight trucking traffic for DRY VAN AND CONTAINER transportation, TYPES OF CONTAINERS, SHIPPING LINES mandatory, including CMA CGM, WHAMPOA, EVERGREEN, MAERSK, HAPAG-LLOYD. CONTAINER PROCESSES, CUSTOMS HANDLING. * Must have held managerial or supervisory roles in divisions or departments, mandatory. * Leadership and personnel management skills; proactive with strong negotiation abilities, excellent verbal communication, customer service orientation, ability to work under pressure and stress, sense of urgency. * Knowledge of how many local haulers enter the port and deliver containers to the yard, where containers are sourced from ports, and how out-of-town containers are moved from the yard via road to customers. * Longest route ever managed. **Responsibilities:** · Plan, coordinate, and supervise the tractor-trailer fleet. Monitor trips, customer deliveries, arrivals, routes, and empty movements. Maintain close contact with operators to ensure compliance with scheduled trips, regulations, and established procedures. Manage petty cash and operation-related expenses. Be responsible for the operational base. Generate vehicle fleet control reports and propose continuous improvements. Monitor established KPIs. Container and dry van operations: ensure preventive maintenance of the fleet is carried out. Supervise assigned personnel. Pursue fleet efficiency and productivity. Role should be 70% operational and 30% administrative.
