




Join our team at POTENCIA FLUIDA DE OCCIDENTE EXCLUSIVE OPENING FOR MANZANILLO, COLIMA We are looking for a **LATHE MECHANIC** to strengthen our Maintenance and Installations team. If you have experience in the field and knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical equipment, we want to meet you. On-site / Monday to Friday 9 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 2:00 pm Office location: Calle Paseo de las Gaviotas, Manzanillo, Colima Responsibilities and functions: 1\. **Operation of lathe and precision machinery** Operate conventional and/or CNC lathes for manufacturing and finishing metal parts. Verify measurements and tolerances according to blueprints or technical specifications. 2\. **Fabrication and repair of components** Manufacture parts for cylinders, pumps, valves, and other hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Repair and adjust shafts, pistons, sleeves, seals, bushings, and couplings. 3\. **Preventive and corrective maintenance** Support the maintenance team in inspection and repair of critical components. Assist in fault detection and replacement of damaged parts. 4\. **Interpretation of blueprints and technical specifications** Read mechanical drawings, diagrams, and technical data sheets to accurately manufacture parts. Apply quality standards and industrial safety regulations. 5\. **Quality control and metrology** Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators). Ensure manufactured parts meet required tolerances. 6\. **Welding and complementary adjustments** *(when required)* Assist with welding, polishing, and assembly of components. 7\. **Process management and improvement** Propose improvements in part fabrication to optimize time and materials. Maintain workshop machines and tools in good condition. 8\. **Teamwork** Coordinate with engineers and technicians in the repair of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Support special projects involving prototype manufacturing or design modifications. Requirements: 2–4 years of experience Minimum: Completed high school / Preferred: Technical degree or incomplete engineering in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial or related field. Technical knowledge: Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic products: hoses, valves, couplings, fittings, cylinders, compressors, etc. Ability to identify part equivalencies and propose solutions. Basic computer skills and Office software (Excel, email). Key skills: Customer service. Problem solving and decision making. Proactivity and desire for growth. Organization and inventory control at counter area. Negotiation and results orientation. Teamwork with warehouse and administrative departments.
