Provide timely and efficient tracking of import and export shipments, as well as development of logistics supply chain vendors. **Responsibilities:** * Maintain customs policies, ensuring exclusive implementation aligned with evolving global needs, local regulations and policies, and corporate standards across Medline’s global manufacturing facilities. * Manage and track imports of components, machinery, samples, salvaged materials, and any other materials requiring importation in the process. * Manage and track exports of finished products, components, machinery, sub-assemblies, and any other materials requiring exportation in the process. * Control the import and export of fixed assets; control equipment inventory, correlating it with customs and financial data. * Maintain an efficient import and export flow. * Design cost-effective methods for import and export operations by developing improvement and cost-saving projects. * Manage relationships and agreements with customs brokers and other third parties involved in import and export processes. * Manage supply chain security, C-TPAT and AEO security initiatives. * Promote and manage departmental improvement plans, automation, and tools for reviewing accurate pre- and post-clearance declaration information. * Track generation of necessary information for effective monitoring of metrics established by management. * Implement audits of the inventory control system, compliance with tariff and non-tariff regulations, permit balances, authorizations, etc. * Ensure effective training within the area and communication of changes to relevant personnel. * Coordinate proper processing of in-bond shipments, tax calculations, and monitoring of expiration timelines. * Support internal and/or external foreign trade and customs audits. * Review invoices from logistics supply chain participants prior to payment. * Provide support during customs inspections when necessary. * Provide support and information to various positions within the company’s department, actively participate in improvement projects and training sessions. **Experience / Technical Knowledge** * Proficiency in PC software (Excel, Word, Office, AS400\) Millennium, CSAAWIN; Intermediate English proficiency, written and spoken (85%). **Preferred Competencies / Soft Skills:** * Basic knowledge of tariff classification of medical products; 8 years of experience in similar positions. **Education:** * Bachelor’s degree related to International Trade.
